Job Summary:The Senior Front Desk Monitor (SFDM) plays a critical role in the Woodstock housing program as this position is responsible for the oversight of the Front Desk Monitors (FDMs) as well as the monitoring of individuals entering and leaving the building. The SFDM ensures guests sign in/out and directs the activities and operations of the front desk area, and lobby as well as provides supervision to the Front Desk Monitors (FDM) ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to. S/he oversees the front door and alerts appropriate staff to crises situations as they occur.General Responsibilities:-Supervises all Front Desk Monitors and activities to ensure adherence to policies, procedures and building monitoring.-Oversees and manages the sign in process of all visitors, guests, and contractors.-Ensures proper documentation is recorded in logbooks by the Front Desk Monitors. Prepares reports related to front desk events.-Reviews and completes Incident Reports in AWARDS. -Provides optimal customer service at all times.-Provide emergency response including crises management as appropriate.-Responds to fire command signals and alarm.-Communicates concerning activities, and high-risk situations to staff including the Senior Property Manager and the Social Service Director, as appropriate.-Assists and oversees the monitoring of entrance and exit points by managing tenants, visitors, contractors, and employees.-Makes periodic rounds a minimum of once daily of the building and documents any safety conditions or issues. -Oversees assigned procedures in emergency situations of the Front Desk Monitors.-Handles or assists in crises situations.Qualifications:-Current NY State Security Guard License and T89/F89.-High School Diploma or GED-Ability to sit, walk and stand for numerous hours.-Ability to lift packages and other items up to 10 pounds.-Has an understanding, appreciation, and commitment to the philosophy and mission of Project FIND.-Establish and maintain polite, professional, and effective working relationships with all contacts.-Good oral and written communication skills.-Shows initiative and is responsible for follow through.-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.-Ability to maintain confidential information, as related to the position.-Provides excellent customer service.-Basic level computer skills; Microsoft Word and Excel.-Demonstrated flexibility with the ability to change priorities with limited notice including working overtime and being available to work with little notice.-Two years of supervisory experience required.Schedule:Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm (35 hours per week). Please note this position requires the availability and flexibility to occasionally work some weekends and holidays.Project FIND participates in E-Verify, which confirms employment authorization through an electronic database maintained by the Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security. The E-Verify process is completed in conjunction with the Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification. E-Verify is not used as a tool to pre-screen candidates.
