Amazon Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Marketing Finance, AWS Marketing Finance in New York, New York

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member of our AWS Marketing Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our fastest growing business divisions at Amazon. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will work closely with finance leaders to develop financial models and analytical insights to assist in evaluating new business concepts, turning insights into valued action, and identifying paths to improve overall planning and forecasting processes. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop relationships with business teams, implement new processes, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Execute annual plans, quarterly forecasts, month end close, and perform ad-hoc analyses.

  • Create, improve, and maintain financial metrics, reports and scorecards used for our business partners.

  • Measure marketing programs by collecting, analyzing, and managing quantitative data to create meaningful analyses and models.

A day in the life

Creating and maintaining strong relationships with business owners will be an important part of this role, which will require the need to work closely with finance leaders on a daily basis to understand and develop financial models and analytical insights. Strong ownership of the P&L and ability to help business partners understand month end close results and associated risks and opportunities is important. A bias for action is very important to help the business execute on their plans.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of Tableau

  • 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
