This role is based in New York City, Cincinnati, OH or Plano, TX and requires 4 days in the office. As a Senior Category Development Manager, HQ, your primary focus will be leveraging Shopper card data from platforms such as Luminate and 84.51. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Category Development to create a clear direction for the category aimed at driving growth and profitability across our product portfolio.

Responsibilities

•    Utilize and manage the Headquarter use of shopper card data from Luminate and 84.51 •    Act as a subject matter expert on Shopper card data analytics and category development strategies within the organization •    Leverage both shopper and syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI), to analyze category and brand performance, identify trends, and uncover growth opportunities •    Develop and share out actionable recommendations based on data-driven insights to drive brand and category growth •    Collaborate with Commercial Growth Team, Sales, Marketing, and Insights teams to understand current business questions and emerging priorities •    Focus on continuing to improve tools, templates, and process to enable the team to maximize efficiency •    Lead a HQ Category team that provides fact-based and objective narratives •    Coach and develop a team supporting their growth using individual development plans, internal learning, feedback, and recognition. •    Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the CPG and retail areas. •    Performs other duties of role as necessary

Requirements

•    Bachelor's degree required •    5+ years consumer packaged goods category management experience •    Strong proficiency in shopper card data analysis and interpretation, with experience using Luminate and/or 84.51 •    Proficient with syndicated data sources (Nielsen, IRI), Symphony RetailAI (EYC), and SPINS •    Strong analytical skills with expertise in data analysis and interpretation •    Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills •    Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and dynamic environment •    Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects against deadlines •    Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint •    Knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies •    Strong leadership skills with experience and ability to lead a team •    Willingness to travel
