Sr. Associate position – Private Markets Solutions

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive the success of BlackRock’s Alternatives platform by leading new product development initiatives, coordinating and accelerating fundraising efforts, and managing product lifecycle events

  • Collaborate with teams on proposals for potential Alternatives product launches and changes to existing products, including advising on product structuring, operating models, legal documents, and fundraising strategy

  • Partner extensively with global colleagues across Product Strategy, Investment and Distribution Teams, Operations, Legal & Compliance, Tax, and Risk to drive forward key product initiatives by building consensus, developing and applying best practices, and ensuring cross-functional alignment

  • Develop a thorough understanding of BlackRock’s and key competitors’ processes, operating environment, and investment products while communicating unique product requirements to business partners and evolving internal processes as needed

  • Help oversee and advance the firm’s usage of balance sheet capital to accelerate product development and commercialization

  • Identify, evaluate, and tackle potential obstacles and risks

Skills and requirements:

  • BA/BS required

  • 5+ years of investment management industry experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of investment management products and asset classes, particularly within Alternatives

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with various stakeholders to completion

  • Familiarity with product development, private fund structuring, private markets fundraising, portfolio management concepts, and/or risk analysis is preferred

  • Effective communication and presentation skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $105,000 - $137,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
