Overview

FleishmanHillard is a global integrated communications agency delivering transformational outcomes for some of the world’s biggest brands. Our New York office is seeking a creative problem solver, detail-oriented team player and sports communications practitioner to join our Retail, Sports and Lifestyle team. This is a Senior Account Executive or Account Supervisor role that will serve as a media relations strategist and primary client contact for some of the largest endemic global sports brands, including Gatorade, EA SPORTS and others.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients of major global sports and consumer brands.

  • Develop, present and execute communications campaigns with a focus on media relations and with an understanding of the integrated marketing function.

  • Focus on bringing proactive media strategy and solid media contacts to client programs and maintain strong relationships with traditional and emerging sports, culture, lifestyle and business media.

  • Maintain and demonstrate an understanding of sports, youth culture and the trends and moments that drive relevant news cycles and conversation particularly among Generations Z and Alpha.

  • Project-manage major activations for clients, including sports and entertainment sponsorships, celebrity and talent partnerships and events around tentpole sport and entertainment moments including Super Bowls and All-Stars.

Qualifications

  • Ability to join us in a hybrid model of working in-person in the office weekly.

  • 3-4+ years of successful experience developing and managing impactful integrated communications programs for major sports and consumer brands.

  • You’re tapped into and have a passion for the intersection of sport and culture (fashion, entertainment, art, music) and have a pulse on what’s driving the conversation. Interest in bringing culturally relevant earned ideas or PR-focused extensions to integrated marketing strategies and have an eye for content and ideas that will drive conversation at the epicenter of sport and culture.

  • Sports, entertainment and/or lifestyle media relations experience required. You have media relationships with editors, writers, social media editors and conversation catalysts across sport, culture, lifestyle, tech and sports business.

  • You’re a future-thinker that has an eye for trends and what’s next in the industry and you prioritize being a team player.

  • Experience working on sponsorship/partnership communications programs, with brands, sponsors or clients associated with major sports or athletic properties a plus.

  • Experience developing and managing media events and activations, including management of production team, budget, media outreach, and on-site logistics.

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple activities seamlessly, effectively and efficiently.

The anticipated salary range for the Senior Account Executive level is is $58,000-$82,000. The anticipated salary range for the Account Supervisor level is is $61,000-$94,000.

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off and/or other benefits also are available.
