New York University Research Scientist (Snow Zhou Lab) in New York, New York

The Snow lab at NYU Biology is looking for a highly motivated and independent individual to work as a Research scientist.

The Snow lab studies the molecular mechanisms of cell signaling and signaling evolution. We combine genetics, molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, and evolutionary biology to elucidate how signaling pathways evolve new functions both under different cellular contexts and across different organisms. In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $62,500 – $63,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

The ideal candidate will hold a PhD, have at least 5 years of research experience in related areas (yeast genetics, molecular and cell biology, or evolutionary biology), expertise in bioinformatics and phylogenetic analysis, and a track record of peer-reviewed publications.
