Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center seeks Radiotherapy Physicist in New York, NY to perform LINAC, CT, and special treatment machines QA/QC. Commission LINAC, CT, and special treatment machines to ensure accuracy and safety. Commission, test, and maintain QA/QC devices. Commission, test, develop, and maintain QA/QC software programs. Participate in the development and maintenance of QA/QC policy and procedure. Conduct and analyze patient specific QA and end-to-end test. Work on clinical development projects. Occasional local travel to Regional Network sites. Part-time telecommuting permitted. Must be available for weekend work as needed. Must be able to move radiology equipment as required. Less than 1% travel to NJ required. EEO/VETS/ADA.REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Medical Physics or a related field and 3 years of experience in the position offered or a related role. Must have 3 years of experience with: quality assurance and commissioning of treatment machines; interpretation of treatment plans; performing patient specific QA; and instrumentation related radiation dosimetry. Must meet NY state licensing requirements. American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent certification in therapeutic radiological physics required. Must be available for weekend work as needed.
