Job Position: MWBE MyCity Project SchedulerPay Rate: $125 per hourLocation: RemoteSchedule: Monday through Friday; 9:00 am to 6:00 pmJob Description: The Project Scheduler will track dependencies across multiple program work streams, identify conflicts in the schedule, track/manage risks and issues, track burn for resources, maintain a master meeting schedule, etc. The OTI Application team does not have sufficient in-house resourcing or skills to manage complex Integrated Master Schedules in MS Project, manage resources in the schedule, and enough availability to deeply track risks and issues.Tasks:Coordinate with project managers to collect and update project status, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. This information will be used to update bi-weekly executive reports, which the Master Scheduler will maintain a part of.Implement best practices in project scheduling and provide guidance on optimizing project timelines.Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential scheduling conflicts and propose mitigation strategies.Track and manage risks and issues throughout the program, ensuring timely resolution and communication to stakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate project schedules and dependencies effectively.Resource Management:Allocate resources based on project needs, considering skill sets, availability, and project priorities.Monitor resource utilization to ensure optimal allocation and identify potential bottlenecks.Collaborate with leadership and project managers to address resource gaps or constraints.Maintain an existing master meetings schedule across the program to avoid major conflicts.Mandatory Skills:At least 12 years of proven experience as a Project Scheduler in IT environments.Proficiency in project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project.Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex scheduling concepts to diverse stakeholders.Experience in resource management and capacity planning.Knowledge of IT infrastructure and software development life cycle.Desirable Skills:Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).Certification in schedule management.Certification in risk management.Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework is a plus.
