JOB OPPORTUNITY: PROJECT COORDINATOR

FULL-TIME: Two-year position with opportunity to extend depending on availability of funding

Location: New York City or Tristate area preferred, but will consider non-local candidates

Project Title: Parenting STAIR: Adapting a Trauma-Focused Parenting Intervention for Military Connected Mothers and Their Children

Project Description:

This project is funded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child and Health and Human Development and focuses on adapting and testing a trauma-informed mental health and parenting intervention, Parenting-STAIR, for military-connected mothers and their young children.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate a longitudinal research study

  • Schedule and facilitate team meetingsOversee construction and maintenance of project database in REDCap

  • Maintain standard operating procedures

  • Support regulatory compliance including with Institutional Review Board, Data Safety and Monitoring Board, and project funder.

  • Implement protocol to recruit participants and screen for eligibility

  • Obtain participant consent and schedule assessments

  • Oversee participant compensation

  • Refine and implement tracking protocols to maintain retention rates

  • Coordinate data collection with study staff and clinical team

  • Monitor participant enrollment and retention and prepare reports as needed

  • Support preparation of reports for funders and community partners

  • Perform other research-related activities as required

Compensation:

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual rate range for this position is 70,000– 75,000 annual. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Master’s Degree in public health, social work, psychology, or other social/behavioral science discipline required

  • Excellent communicator – demonstrated interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to effectively communicate, collaborate, establish and maintain good working relationships with a diverse group of multi-disciplinary researchers, staff, and partners

  • Experience with the conduct of research, including skills such as participant tracking, qualitative and/or quantitative data collection, analysis, and regulatory compliance

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software applications such as SPSS, Atlas.ti, REDCap

  • Must have a high level of attention to detail, flexibility, ability to work on a team, and punctuality
