Citigroup Program Management Senior Lead - Business Development - New York - C14 - Hybrid in New York, New York

The Business Development Grp Mgr is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of Business Development Officers across the United States. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong strategic planning, business development and sales acumen is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to build external business relationships and to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Accountable for the end results with very specific goals in various markets across the United States. Exercises control over resources, strategic planning and daily activity to drive business. Involved in strategic planning and implementation of local market tactics/actions and resources for own area. Operational efficiency and transformative change experience helpful to maximize success of team. Full management responsibility of a team, including management of people, implementation of strategy, performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in community lending with strong focus on sales and people management

  • Partner with sales leadership (Sales Heads, RMs/ROs, and Service RMs/Officers) to exceed financial plan numbers and community lending score targets

  • Ensure that the group operates in a manner that delivers excellent client experience to mortgage customers and community lending partners

  • Develop, motivate, and empower team members to fully realize their potential and to maximize sales opportunities for the mortgage business

  • Responsible for business development to drive opportunity to diverse and low-and-moderate income segments, creating new opportunities to reach and serve more clients

  • Establish and develop strong partnerships with the bank and other businesses units to develop new client relationships and a strong referral network

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

  • Drive operational efficiencies through careful review of process, procedures and focus on Business Development team

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years relevant experience

  • Experience in mortgage business, financial services or banking

  • Understanding of community lending, Fair Lending and/or Community Reinvestment Act or diverse market segments

  • Comprehensive knowledge of policies and procedures to ensure the maintenance of operational controls that exceed audit standards Hands-on knowledge of branch and AML functions

  • Advanced sales management skills

  • Advanced people management skills, coaching skills, and problem solving skills

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience in strategic planning, business development, marketing or team transformation

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$176,720.00 - $265,080.00
