Overview
Supports diverse administrative functions, projects, and initiatives under the Associate Vice Provost for Research team. Works closely with the Office of Research Development and Partnerships, including the Office of Corporate Engagement. As a team member the Coordinator contributes to increasing the competitiveness and recognition of NYUs research portfolio and nurturing a research culture that values scholarship, innovation, discovery, collaboration, integrity, and inclusion across the University, including at its global campuses and sites. Perform non-standardized and varied administrative duties to aid business operations. Assist with events, communications, and operations with the aim of ensuring and improving efficiency and effectiveness. Manages scheduling, prioritization, planning, meeting preparation and follow-up, travel arrangement and special projects. Work is integrated within the larger Office of Research and involves maintaining relationships with other central administrators, including the Provosts Office, the President's Office, and faculty. Must possess a strong attention to detail, organizational and communication skills and the ability to work both independently and cooperatively as part of a team with a high level of initiative.

3+ years Experience working in a university or office setting with strong customer service skills

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow through and meet deadlines. Creative and effective problem-solver. Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team with a high level of initiative. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, PowerPoint presentations and software applications, specifically with Microsoft Office and Google Suite. Webinar experience (Zoom, GoToWebinar, Webex, etc.). Flexible and adaptable to a quickly changing environment. Ability to multitask using good judgment and discretion.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Project and process management (monday.com, SmartSheet, etc.). Critical thinking and advanced analytical skills Energized by teamwork and skilled in cross-functional collaboration. Capacity for high caliber delivery of customer service. Working knowledge of research administration, sponsored programs, and regulatory compliance areas (i.e. export controls, human subjects research, animal research, conflicts of interest and commitment, responsible conduct of research, data management and security). Interpersonal effectiveness. Professional flexibility and adaptability with a nurturing approach. Familiar with data collection and the importance of ensuring adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data in NYU systems, with the ability to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $72,000.00 to USD $88,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
