IBM Principal Storage Sales Specialist - Financial Services in New York, New York

Introduction

IBM Global Markets is currently seeking a Storage Sales Specialist. This position is responsible for the IBM Storage Software Portfolio and data storage portfolio for redhat open shift containers within a specific US geography focused on new business.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Lead IBM's storage brand prospecting, sales progression, and client interaction at large financial services client(s). Your role will be to represent the full portfolio of IBM Storage brand solutions, both infrastructure and software defined, at these client(s), with the responsibility for the the assigned annual/semi-annual quota for the assigned account(s).

Key Responsibilities:

Ability to execute business development inside and outside of IT departments across a wide range of storage environments to include Artificial Intelligence, Hybrid Multi-cloud & Dev Ops

Use business acumen to understand the client's business requirements, technical requirements and/or competitive landscape

Collaborate with IBM Software and Services teams to define, design, and detail the aspects and feasibility of proposed integrated solutions

Work with the technical team to deliver effective Proof of Concept (POC), Proof of Technology (POT), support critical situations

Actively engage with clients to develop the trust and credibility to help them grow their businesses by solving strategic and tactical business problems with IBM's proven cognitive and cloud technology solutions

Apply IBM brand strategies and offerings, methods and models, and solution design and delivery

Demonstrated level of business acumen as it applies to the client's business and working with business partners to execute solutions.

Skilled in provocative consultative selling, with an understanding of the client's needs and IBM capabilities

Commercially minded and capable of supporting end-to-end sales engagements with the ability to think, plan and act strategically

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.

This position is eligible for participation in an IBM Sales Incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunity will be based on performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change. The compensation range listed for this position is the IBM Reference Salary that is used when you are not actively participating in a sales plan. Your actual base pay plus incentive opportunity will be determined by the Incentive Plan assigned to you.
