What you will be doing
- Plan Project
- Build project plan to meet client expectation
- Negotiate timelines
- Account for contingency
- Predict demand and manage
- Balance Time, Value and cost
- Integrate plan with other projects in the program
- Unblock items that cause delay in executing projects
- Tracks available capacity, holidays and manage the impacts
- Risk management
- Predict schedule variance, suggest steps/options to overcome
- Abreast with team dynamics that influence timeline and quality delivery
- Convey assumptions, manage them so they don't turn to risks
- Understands the nuances of Time and Material and Fixed Cost projects
- Predicts and Brings budget overruns to the discussion
- Manages Business continuity situations
- Communication
- Collaborates with stakeholders
- Stays in constant touch with clients with latest updates
- Conveys effects of CRs to the plan, proposes alternatives
- Warns teams of possible risks, helps team understand the risks involved
- Raise concerns well in advance to prepare for (and suggest) alternatives,
- Keep plan up to date
- Communicate priorities, help team understand
- Ask questions to the team to challenge commitment to ensure VUCA are considered
- Participates in steerco meetings and conveys the decisions back to the team adjusts the plan as necessary
- Influencing
- Ask probing questions to trigger solutions
- Bring in convincing perspective for schedule variance
- Negotiate priorities
- Stress on creating/building value
- Tasks oriented, with frequent follow-up
- Follow up with team to update tasks status in ALM/time tracking tool
- Maintain the various state of the tasks/gaps/epics/stories
- Help team breakdown the requirements (?)
- Obtain necessary approvals for the CRs and their impact to the plan
- Understands the team's combination in terms of their competency (?)
- Reporting the status - Project progress
- Build report Cadence
- Understand the needs of report consumer and prepare accordingly
- Billing and forecasting
- Manage project spends (h/w, s/w, HR)
- Set billing targets week on week/month on month to the team
- Predict the spend overruns manage influencers
What you bring
- Over all 10+ years with 5+ years of experience as an Project Manager with adept understanding of Software development life cycle
- Experience in Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe)
- Experience running agile projects of varying size and complexity
- An excellent communicator and motivator
- Strong communication and assertive skills
- Strong in stakeholder management
Added advantage
- Agile maturity Tools, Jira Confluence
- PMP Certification, Prince
- Experience working in product development using Microsoft Technologies, Web technologies
