Overview:

The People Partner is a business unit (BU) based role. Working as part of the A& M Global People Organization (GPO), the People Partner is responsible for creating business-aligned talent strategies and plans. They are focused on anticipating and fulfilling the talent needs specific to their business unit in partnership with the GPO's Programs and People Services teams.

The People Partner requires a blend of HR expertise, business knowledge, and leadership skills to partner effectively with A& M business and geographic leaders and drive success through people-focused initiatives.

As part of the broader Global People Organization, the BU aligned People Partner works closely with others to proactively realize outcomes for the Business Unit. The People Programs team develops and delivers programs, process and content to support the Talent Management and Organization Development activities across the firm, while the People Services team develops and delivers operational Human Resource processes and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities for the unique needs of the assigned business unit / geography include:

  • Understand the BU's business model, strategy, and growth plan to drive and manage its forward-looking talent strategy and 3 to 5 year workforce plan.
  • Partner with the GPO to source and drive programs and initiatives for the Business Unit (BU) and collaborate in the design and development of GPO priorities
  • Serve as the BU culture architect, building upon A& M firm wide behaviors and personal/team characteristics
  • Deliver an enhanced people experience across the employee lifecycle, leveraging the GPO based People Advisor, People Programs and People Services support.
  • Develop competitive compensation plans/structures which reflect and support the BU strategy.
  • Manage BU related people communications and other ad hoc projects as deemed necessary


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior HRBP or similar HRBP role
  • Exposure to Workforce Planning principles
  • End to end delivery of the Employee Life Cycle
  • Exposure to developing Culture interventions to shape and align a culture to business strategy
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Superior communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and organizational development

Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The salary range is $165, 000 - $180, 000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A& M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
