Position Summary
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for managing, initiating, and maintaining relationships with Faculty, Community, and Independent Health Care Providers in targeted marketing areas in an effort to promote programs and services for Columbia Doctors New York-Presbyterian Imaging (CDNYPI), MRI Center at the Neurological Institute, and the Kreitchman PET Center. Strengthen market share thru retention and growth of referral networks. Travels to community physicians and community organization locations on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
- Directs and/or provides outreach services to potential referring physician offices in the tri-state area including telephone contact, on-site visits, and presentation of marketing and informational materials.
- Directs and/or maintains frequent communication with existing referring physician offices, providing support needed to ensure high quality service for their radiology needs.
- Provides feedback to radiology leadership on referring physician concerns, issues and opportunities for process improvement. Implements changes based upon feedback.
- Hires and trains all outreach staff. Handles all personnel activities, assigns work assignments, and supervises outreach coordinators in the CDNYPI, MRI & PET Center practices.
- Assesses competency of outreach coordinators; Conducts staff meetings; Plans and implements in-service training.
- Prepares monthly reports/quarterly presentations as required.
- Participates in the development and production of promotional materials.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of market and competitors.
- Coordinates and/or participates in the development and presentation of physician seminars, continuing education materials, etc.
- Coordinates and/or conducts patient education programs as needed.
- Attends professional meetings as needed to reinforce outreach efforts.
- Maintain and ensure accuracy in all databases and files and update same as per requirement and coordinate for various meetings and activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related radiology experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of outreach or customer service experience. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be very well organized and attentive to detail
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of Salesforce and Reporting
