Job Summary

The Manager, Ops Feasibility develops the operational testing process for new menu items, ingredients, equipment, and culinary procedures. The Ops Feasibility Team is responsible for validation of all procedures gathering feedback from the cross-functional teams and in-Shack teams to ensure field readiness prior to full system implementation. This role works closely with Culinary, Commercialization, Supply Chain, Ops Services, Ops Innovation, Ops Systems and Field Operations.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Partners with the Culinary and Commercialization teams to ensure all new menu items can be executed within the specified operational parameters

  • Leads all operational testing projects and cross departmental Product Testing to ensure processes are vetted and approved by the Restaurant Excellence and Field Operations teams

  • Validates process steps and yields for complex SOP documentation

  • Manages the field facing testing process of new menu items and ingredients, equipment, smallwares and culinary processes in Shacks

  • Plans and communicates test details with the Field Operations and Ops Training Teams

  • Leads training the trainer sessions for the OpsTraining Team for all test and LTO items

  • Observes field tests in Shacks to quantify Operational complexities

  • Works with Operations to identify and ensure continuous improvement and accuracy of culinary processes, builds, recipes and procedures while meeting quality standards

  • Completes new Menu Item Information sheet in preparation for Level 3 Tastings

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Multi-unit restaurant experience

  • Food manufacturing experiences

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree

Education or Certificate Details

Food Safety Certified

Work Experience

4-6 years

Supervisory Experience

1-3 years

Related Experience

4+ years kitchen experience in high-volume restaurant

Physical Requirements

Precise hand/eye coordination

Basic keyboarding or other repetitive motions

Operation of heavy equipment or operation of vehicles

Lifting/pushing objects weighing over 10 lbs.

Climbing and working in awkward and cramped positions

Pay Range - $98,860.00 - $126,060.00
