The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Responsibilities

MUFG’s US Operational Resilience team is responsible for the below:

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive, cross-functional operational resilience strategy aligned to the Operational Resilience policy and framework that supports overall business objectives and improves overall risk/reliance management

  • Partner with Operational Risk, Internal Audit, and other Risk Partners to ensure regulatory requirements are being met and comply with the firm’s resiliency strategy

  • Partner with stakeholders across the three lines of defense, prioritize objectives, and drive change in an evolving environment

  • Work with the Business Owners to implement key program components across required Operational Resilience workstreams

  • Monitor and assess operational resilience risks and partner with the various organizations to develop and implement mitigation strategies

  • Support the business areas in documenting important Business Services/Critical Operations, associated end-to-end processes, and the underlying people, technology, and vendor assets

  • Collaborate with Business Owners, Information Technology, Cyber, BCM and Third Party to create integrated playbooks that to provide instructions on delivering an important business services during a crisis

  • Collaborate with Business Owners to implement and enhance operational resilience processes and procedures

  • Collect qualitative/quantitative metrics to measure Firmwide resilience; deliver business analytics and reporting, monitoring, and analyzing key risk and control indicators

  • Drive initiatives to reduce resiliency risk and validate recovery strategies; ensure effective recovery plans are in place and in compliance with the firm’s overall resiliency strategies for effective continuity of operations in crisis events, to reduce resiliency risk and validate recovery strategies in line with tolerances for disruption

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business divisions for business resilience, providing appropriate guidance, business simulations and training on tools and risk mitigation strategies

  • Educate and train teams on operational resilience best practices and strategies; ensure operational resilience principles and practices are understood and applied across the organization

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of operational resiliency experience and 10+ years of experience within the financial services industry.

  • 2+ years of managerial experience.

  • An understanding of one or more, of the following risk and or program management related functions; operational resilience, technology resilience, operational risk, program management, controls monitoring, risk assurance and risk governance

  • Experience in driving and shaping program strategy as well as the implementation of program uplift and change

  • Natural leader with the ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders, prioritize objectives, and drive significant change in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment

  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and time management skills

  • Able to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at appropriate solutions across organization

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functions to achieve measurable results

  • Excellent influencing skills at all levels and the ability to develop and maintain good relationships with senior leadership and colleagues

  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change, self-motivated and able to independently drive results

  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills

  • Strong process and project management skills with the ability to improve process efficiency and effectiveness

The typical base pay range for this role is between $125K-$160K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
