*Practice locations include the Northern Manhattan clinical practice, Midtown Manhattan and house call coverage in patient homes in and around the Northern Manhattan vicinity.

The Nurse Practitioner Group is the faculty practice of Columbia University School of Nursing. We are currently recruiting for a full-time Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner to join our practice. Our integrated primary care practice serves the physical and mental health care needs of the Washington Heights community and includes house call services to home-bound individuals in Northern Manhattan.

Our Nurse Practitioners provide a full scope of travel medicine, primary, episodic, chronic, and women's health care to our patients. They have clinical and admitting privileges at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and work in partnership with more than1,200 providers at ColumbiaDoctors, the multi-specialty practice organization of Columbia University Medical Center. Our NPs are committed to their patients' health, specializing in primary care and targeted, individualized disease prevention and health promotion. The incumbents will also receive a non-tenured academic appointment allowing the opportunity to advise, mentor and precept students.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimated of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.


Successful candidates will possess:

  • A doctoral degree (DNP) from a recognized institution of higher education;
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience;
  • An active New York State license and current national board certification as a Family or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner;
  • Active DEA license/registration;
  • The selected candidates will have exemplary oral & written communication skills, strong analytical abilities, the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced & changing environment, proficiency utilizing electronic medical records and solid critical thinking skills;
  • Practice locations include the Northern Manhattan clinical practice and house calls in patient homes in and around the Northern Manhattan vicinity;
  • Evenings, weekend, and/or on-call hours will be required;
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) applicants will be given additional consideration.
