Job Description

Insight Global is seeking three MSL Engineers to join one of their top financial clients in either NYC, PHX, or ATL. This individual will be joining the Mobile Engineering team, responsible for architecting and designing the mobile service layer. Currently this API layer orchestrates the data flow between all different back end layers to different presentation layers on the mobile side (in this case, teams on the Android side and IOS side). The goal is to leverage back end for front end patterns to actually customize the API architecture per business layer, creating a more specific and intentional data point, reducing issues in data quality and overall streamlining the connectivity. We are seeking someone incredibly proficient with Java and API development, who ideally has been exposed to MSL development or used BFF patterns prior. This will be a highly technical role, comprised of consistent new development. While technical proficiency is highly desired, this team also requires strong communication skills, a knack or continuous learning, ability to pick up new technologies, and be proactive with ideas and building solutions.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, skills, experience, and education. Starting base salary is $110K.

Skills and Requirements

-8+ years experience with back end Java development

-Strong experience designing and building out APIs should understand API gateways, tokens, security, how to mitigate gaps in API layers

-Exposure to backend to frontend development (BFF Pattern) and/OR mobile service layer development -Experience with Kotlin

-Prior experience supporting Mobile development teams
