Role Purpose:

The Manager, SAP S/4 Finance Reporting Support is a critical role for NBCUniversal’s SAP S/4 HANA implementation, “Project Keystone.” This position will work with colleagues across the global NBCU Finance and Technology organizations, playing an active role in our finance digital transformation from design to deployment. This role will be an important part of ensuring inclusive design decisions, effective change management and substantial transformation.  

The SAP S/4 Finance Reporting Support manager is responsible for supporting SAP ECC & S4HANA software, bringing a techno-functional mindset to solve complex internal and external reporting needs of NBCU during our transformation. This position will be expected to work with cross-functional teams over the full range of the S/4 development lifecycle to support the future reporting strategy and ensuring requirements are vetted and built in a timely manner.  

You will be required to demonstrate a knowledge of standard finance concepts, practices, and specifically how those are supported by SAP S/4Hana reporting tools such as group reporting and SAC. This role will work closely with system integrators (SIs) to gain a deep understanding of suggested SAP best practices and evaluate in partnership with the controllership GPOs, business units, and key reporting stakeholders where we can adapt current reporting to a fit to standard mentality. This role is responsible for key inputs to business requirement documents related to reporting and analytics as well as providing QA of key reporting design decisions made across workstreams.  

Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise (SME) for next generation ERP Finance Solutions data design and migration.   

  • Interface with workstreams (data, IT, RTR, etc.), the S/4 leadership team, System Integrators (SI) and more to capture & analyze reporting processes, workflows, policies, master data elements, and functionality related to the current ECC solution, and translate needs into the design of SAP S/4 solutions.  

  • Eloquently translate finance functional requirements to technical teams for development and own tasks throughout the build process.

  • Participate in reporting fit to standard workshops and sessions supporting the design and build of the future state solution. 

  • Drive solutioning for established reporting GAPs that arise during FIT/GAP analysis. 

  • Build stakeholder consensus and ensure everyone is on the same page, in agreement, and can understand the solution being proposed. 

  • Be a change agent for the SAP S/4 transformation. 

  • Evaluate third party solutions as an alternative to custom development recommended by SAP recommends. 

  • Collaborate and support the team lead responsible for sensitive deadlines and complex reporting.  

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.  

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems or similar and a minimum of 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  

  • 4+ years of professional work experience in SAP reporting.  

  • 3+ years of relevant media industry experience.  

  • 3+ years of professional work experience in an SAP ecosystem preferred.   

  • Understanding of out of the box reporting capabilities of SAP as well as corporate internal and external reporting.

  • Ability to translate between Finance functional and SAP technical requirements. 

  • Comfortable with the use cases of core S/4 Tables and BW for reporting.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and problem solving. 

Desired Characteristics:

  • Media industry experience is preferred but not required.  

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $85,000 - $115,000 (bonus eligible).
