Job Summary
Seeking experienced Imaging Engineer with at least 5 years of experience independently maintaining CT, MR, Cath Lab and other high-end imaging modalities. Overall imaging experience of 7+ years preferred. Position may transition into a supervisory/management role for the candidate with the right skillset
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect a diverse range of high-end therapeutic and diagnostic imaging devices and systems, including planned maintenance and electrical safety testing. Diagnose, correct, and repair system and equipment malfunctions
Perform major repairs by replacing defective components, glassware and readjust components to manufacturer’s specifications using appropriate tools and measuring instruments. May require certification in order to complete repairs
Utilizes specialized knowledge and training to perform system calibrations within area of expertise. (i.e.- Rad, RF, Mammo, Nuc Med, Linear Acc, PET-CT, CT, MR, or Ultrasound)
Knowledge of all government, regulatory, industry, company, and client Policies and Procedures, and subsequent updates
Respond expeditiously to calls from clinical departments, and/or customers to evaluate and rectify valid operator complaints and concerns
Develops and conducts training when requested regionally and nationally
Professionally manage the service delivery process including: timely response to customer requests for service, a professional appearance, working with the customer’s schedule to minimize disruption of patient care, a positive attitude, maintaining communication with the customer throughout the process of service delivery, and follow-up after the service event to ensure the equipment is operating correctly and the customer is completely satisfie
Demonstrate and reflect a commitment to the mission and values of the company
Participate in assigned on-call services in accordance with contractual guidelines and/or departmental policies
Flexibility to work augmented shifts based on the unit’s needs to meet with client’s contractual requirements
Conduct and support incident investigation
Leads and mentors other ISEs on the servicing of imaging equipment and towards ensuring understanding of service, safety, and company procedure
Actively participates on national DI teams
Research and initiate orders for repair parts, working with the supervisor and/or the Technical Resource Center; demonstrate ability to effectively find second-source parts
Provide accurate and timely database management of the CMMS
Schedule and oversee third-party service as necessary
Complete all required training (e.g., skills-based, client, work-related, certification)
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in biomedical equipment technology, electronic equipment technology, or military training preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Formal radiology training and/or certifications(s) preferred i.e., CBET, CRES, etc
Seven (7) years servicing Diagnostic Imaging equipment preferred
