Citigroup Integrated Financial Planning Senior Lead- Capital Planning and Management in New York, New York

Capital Planning and Management owns the enterprise-wide capital planning and management processes for Citigroup and its legal entities, and ensures integrity and efficiency of Citigroup and CBNA capital profiles, on both an actual and forecasted basis, across the capital continuum ranging from BAU through simulated stress environments consistent with CCAR, QMMF (Quarterly Multi-Year Multi-Scenario Forecasting), and Resolution and Recovery Planning assumptions.

Capital Planning and Management is seeking a professional to implement the integration of the firm’s planning processes, which includes quarterly base and stress forecasting, interest rate risk sensitivities, and Resolution and Recovery forecasting. Integration will require (i) an assessment of existing process designs, models, data, governance, workflows, and reporting; (ii) a plan to enhance where gaps are identified; and (ii) close partnership with stakeholders to execute those plans to converge these processes and create a more consistent approach.

This professional will report to the Financial Planning Integration Executive and partner closely with counterparts in FP&A, Non-Traded Market Risk, Treasury Transformation, and Technology. Critical success factors will include the ability to navigate effectively in a matrixed organization, develop partnerships with business and technology teams, and drive a continuous improvement mindset. The successful candidate in this role will implement plans across a complex organization and drive the firm’s process, architecture, and people to a more efficient future state. Leveraging modernization initiatives including automation, analytics, agile transformation, and culture will enable the organization to collaborate in a more efficient manner. Given the broad scope of this role, effective prioritization will be imperative to driving success.

In This Role You Will

  • Lead strategic initiatives and process optimization through conceptualizing, developing and deploying advanced analytical solutions in a high performing environment

  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership for implementing innovative business solutions that are large scale and cross organizational

  • Act as a Business Execution advisor to leadership to drive performance and initiatives and develop and implement information delivery or presentations to key stakeholders and senior management

  • Drive team meetings or steering committee to facilitate decision making and support implementation of recommendations and plans

  • Engage with professionals and managers across multiple lines of businesses and serve as an advisor to stakeholders

  • Use business expertise and identify opportunities to pioneer new and emerging technologies to solve for recurrent operational problems and risks, including manual reviews, financial calculations, and automation.

  • Leverage mathematics, programming and consultative skills to integrate solutions within business processes

Required Qualifications:

  • Subject matter expert in core finance processes such as FP&A, forecasting balance sheet and NII, interest rate risk, liquidity stress testing, capital stress testing and related areas

  • 10+ years of quantitative model solutions or quantitative model operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 7+ years of experience with intelligent automation solutions such as robotic process automation, desktop automations and workflow solution capabilities, including experience in Automation Lifecycle and governance

  • 5+ years of owning or building Enterprise-grade platforms, including working knowledge of Jira and Confluence

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy and consulting skills to influence stakeholders, outcomes and approaches for critical, high visibility priorities in complex global delivery environments

  • Proven track record to drive strategic transformation through influencing, partnering, and negotiating with senior business leaders to gain commitments to accomplish business goals

  • Proven ability to think both strategically and tactically; experience and ability to present complex material in a concise manner and to all levels of the organization

  • Provide thought leadership through clear, concise, and impactful executive communications; experience in Enterprise-wide communication to challenge the status quo and affect change a plus

  • Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, and implement solutions; flexibility and willingness to adapt to frequent change

  • Experience using PowerApps, Power BI, Tableau, SQL and various desktop automation tools

Qualifications:

  • Manager of Technology : Advanced proficiency in programming languages and tools for data analysis and modeling, such as R, Python, SQL, Java. Experience in designing, building, testing, and deploying scalable and robust data pipelines, platforms, or architectures

  • Manager of Process & Data : Challenges end-to-end process efficiency and effectiveness, champion data driven decision-making and removes obstacles to optimize operations. Ability to work with Risk and Compliance partners to influence change to policies, standards, processes, procedures, and guidance

  • Enterprise Advocate & Communicator : Contributes to enterprise strategy and influence messaging to connect team contributions to business purpose, results, and success.

  • Risk Manager : Inspects and challenges risk controls, governance and culture to ensure the timely identification, escalation, debate and remediation of risk across the organization.

  • People Manager & Coach : Coaches to sustain and elevates organizational performance while differentiating to ensure pay for performance.

  • Financial Steward : Efficiently allocates and manages resources across the organization to drive short and long term profitability.

  • Enterprise Talent Leader : Inspects and manages the health of the bench to ensure succession for the organization, while supporting enterprise talent needs.

  • Driver of Business Outcomes : Mobilizes organizational resources to deliver the full range of the bank’s capabilities to meet client needs and to gain competitive advantage.
