Graduate Communications Coordinator

POSITION DETAILS

The CUNY Office of Enrollment Management, in collaboration with the CUNY colleges, designs and manages University-wide strategies, priorities, and policies pertaining to student enrollment. The Office of Graduate Studies, a division of CUNY Central Administration’s Office of Enrollment Management, is the information hub for prospective students interested in over 800 Master’s and Doctoral programs offered at 15 of our colleges across the five boroughs. Our mission is to guide students through the many graduate program options by serving as a resource and holding events that showcase our programs. This includes marketing and communications campaigns, as well as recruitment events such as information sessions and open houses.

The Office of Graduate Studies is seeking a well-organized and self-starting Graduate Communications Coordinator with a passion for higher education and a demonstrated track record in digital marketing and event coordination. The position reports to the Associate Director of Graduate Enrollment.

In addition to the duties in the CUNY Title Overview, additional duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Utilizes the University’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to design and launch compelling weekly events that highlight the diverse graduate programs.

  • Engages with internal and external partners to refine and implement cutting-edge admissions recruitment strategies.

  • Actively participates in graduate events by handling pre- and post-event coordination and communication, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants.

  • Maintains and enhances the Office’s web content and marketing materials, expanding the outreach to both current and future CUNY scholars.

NOTE: Until further notice, this is a hybrid position, eligible to work remotely and work in the office.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM

Bachelor’s degree required.

PREFERRED

  • Knowledge of content management platforms like Wordpress, including experience with website content updates and the use of Google Analytics to recommend improvements that would enhance usability.

  • Experience using CRM tools specifically in organizing, drafting, and sending communications, and analyzing data to determine efficiencies.

  • Experience managing social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.

  • Effective team player able to collaborate with all levels of organization.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Flexibility and proven success in a fast-paced, dynamic, and responsive office with competing priorities.

  • Computer proficiency using administrative, and academic databases, plus Microsoft Office programs, Adobe PDF, and remote/virtual meeting/conferencing and collaboration tools (e.g. MS Teams, Zoom, WebEx, etc.).

CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW

Coordinates the design and production of publications, written materials, and multi-media communications.

  • Organizes publications and communications projects from inception through final stage in a variety of media

  • Prepares materials and creates graphic designs utilizing logos, templates and other graphic elements

  • Applies College-wide graphic and technical standards to insure quality and consistency of College identity

  • Assists in coordinating production in a variety of media and formats, both print and on-line

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary range is $44,411 - $54,268, commensurate with qualifications, education and experience.
