The Financial & Strategic Investors Group (FSIG) provides both coverage and execution banking services to our private equity client base which is comprised of a broad range of financial sponsors, ranging from the world's largest private equity firms to some of the leading mid-market investors. The team advises private equity clients across the life cycle of their investments, including investment-idea generation, leveraged buyouts (LBOs), financings, bolt-on acquisitions, sell side M&A and IPOs exits. The group interacts extensively with all parts of the firm, providing an outstanding platform to learn from working with bankers across industry groups and product areas.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

Investment Banking Analysts at Goldman Sachs gain exposure to the firm's businesses and expanded knowledge of the investment banking industry, as they develop key analytical, communications, marketing and sales skills. Analysts organize and prepare presentations, which explain industry trends, discuss client options, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. Analysts will also have the opportunity to analyze financial models through partnership with our industry and financing teams. From maintaining client communication to helping Goldman Sachs structure client transactions, our analysts are a vital part of Goldman Sachs banking teams. Goldman Sachs seeks highly motivated candidates for the analyst position in New York City.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Basic Qualifications
* Undergraduate Degree in Economics / Finance / Accounting related discipline is preferable
* Experience with modelling and financial statements analysis
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
* Ability to work flexibly as part of multiple teams and autonomously
* Ability to juggle changing priorities and a varied workload

Preferred Qualifications
* Current experience as an investment banking analyst
* Private equity transaction experience

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $85000-$110000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
