Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Financial Analyst.In this role, the successful candidate NYU Langone Health is conducting a multi-center multi-component project, EDs LEading the Transformation of Alzheimers and Dementia Care (ED-LEAD). The goal of the project is to turn an ED visit from a crisis point into an opportunity to improve the well-being of persons living with dementia (PLWD) and their care partners. ED-LEAD will be embedded in a diverse group of 14 health systems, including 82 EDs with substantial racial and ethnic diversity. Each institution involved in this project will have an extensive billing and invoicing process.

The Finance Analyst will work with study PIs, Co-Investigators, and research staff to ensure that all invoices are being processed in a complete and timely manner. They will develop and maintain customized financial reporting. They will report to the Assistant Director for the Administrative Core. They will oversee and manage invoices, budgets, and contracts.

Job Responsibilities:

Works collaboratively with Investigators and Research Team to ensure accuracy and completeness of clinical trial billing.

Processes all ED-LEAD related invoices on a weekly basis.

Works closely with all study sites financial office to ensure institutional billing compliance.

Maintains a comprehensive database to track all clinical trial billing.

Provides monthly billing reports including projections to Program Director and Assistant Director and Principal Investigator to ensure financial compliance.

Organizes and leads regular financial meetings with Program Director and Assistant Director and Principal Investigator.

Participates in administration of project budget under direction of the Assistant Director and Program Director and Principal Investigator.

Attends regular research team meetings and updates Investigators and Research Team on the status of invoices.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and institutional policies as required.


Perform additional duties as assigned that fall within the reasonable scope of this position as member of the Research Operations Team.

Assists Billing Team Lead in developing exception reporting, performs routine quality control.


Maintains an accessible electronic final copy of all external formal submissions.


Provides guidance and departmental support related to the management and monitoring of all ED-LEAD components.

Develops tracking each budget independently and developing budget models and tracking and projections for annual reports.

Demonstrated experience for developing systems and diagnostics that can be used to help elevate management, execution, and tracking in complex research projects.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field, with 1-3 years relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
Possess strong customer service and problem solving skill sets.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree; Proficient in utilizing Tableau or similar tool; Experience with a not-for-profit, healthcare institution and a cost or general accounting background preferred.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft products and Huron Research Suite preferred
Incumbent must be able to work independently, have strong strategic and critical thinking skills, and must be able to take multiple priorities and translate them into project completion through expert planning.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $67,771.14 - $85,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
