Robert Half Finance Manager in New York, New York

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Financial Analyst/Manager based in New York, New York, 10017, United States. This role revolves around the financial industry, putting emphasis on managing monthly accounting close, creating financial reports, and maintaining accurate accounting records. The successful candidate will also manage payroll processes and respond to client inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly accounting close procedures to ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial reports

• Present financial reports at client Finance Committee and Board of Director meetings

• Respond to client questions and inquiries in a timely and accurate manner, providing exceptional customer service

• Oversee and manage accounting and financial systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurately reflect the company's financial status

• Maintain full and accurate accounting records, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements

• Manage the bi-monthly payroll processes, ensuring all employees are paid the proper amounts on time

• Liaise with payroll provider to ensure all tax payments are made on time

• Utilize skills in Nonprofit Organizations, Grant Accounting, and Financial Statement Preparation in the execution of duties and responsibilities. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial analyst/manager role.

• Must have demonstrable experience working with nonprofit organizations.

• Proficiency in grant accounting is required.

• Must have a proven track record in financial statement preparation.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Must be able to work independently as well as in team settings.

• Proficiency in the use of financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Must possess strong organizational and planning skills.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is required.

• Professional certifications such as CFA or CFP are desirable.

• Must adhere to strict ethical standards and maintain confidentiality.

• Must have the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation is required.
