MSCI Inc. seeks Executive Director, Shared Services Engineering in New York, NY to work with stakeholders to understand business needs and to design and implement software solutions to meet those needs. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: working on operational support for internal client facing financial web applications; troubleshooting applications, data issues, and providing timely resolution within the defined service level agreement; utilizing the software development lifecycle process including requirement gathering, design, code review, unit test automation, and build and release automation environments; collaborating across functional teams to improve quality of service and contribute to enhancement of user experience; analyzing requirement specifications for impact on the existing system and for gaps, testability, and applicability to stated use cases; participating in incident management for resolution and tracking of application issues; managing monthly maintenance and production releases, ensuring appropriate communication across the development and business teams, including post release system testing; collaborating across development and product management teams for service delivery; practicing capacity management and monitoring, trending, and analyzing current usage of the existing software systems to accommodate future growth and sustainability; leading support efforts on overall system stability and defining scope for future improvements across the team.
