Through its public programs, the Graduate Center enhances New York City’s intellectual and cultural life. The Office of Institutional Advancement seeks a part-time Email Communications & Database Specialist. This position reports to the Administrative Director for Institutional Advancement. The contract title for this position is Non-Teaching Adjunct, Level 1, with an hourly rate of $47.72. The incumbent will work up to 225 hours in the fall/spring semesters and up to 175 hours in the summer.

The duties include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor activity on Constant Contact, a web-based communications platform, keeping track of content, email campaigns, newsletter cycles, open rates, subscription rates, and bounce-backs.

  • Integrate data between Constant Contact and Raiser’s Edge database.

  • Create effective analytical and tracking reports within Constant Contact and Raiser’s Edge.

  • Develop, in consultation with supervisor, templates and new custom reporting that informs the development team, improving ROI and donor giving metrics.

  • Ensure smooth flow of information between various in-house systems including Constant Contact, Raiser’s Edge database, Raiser’s Edge NXT, and spreadsheets.

  • Assist with clean-up of constituents’ records and updating addresses and emails in the database.

  • Work with database manager on creating donor/constituents reports and building reporting templates.

  • Work with database manager on merging wealth screening data with appropriate constituents in the RE database.

  • Work with database manager on specific projects including coding and data segmentation to create targeted communications.

  • Assists with the roll-out of email engagement campaigns and direct solicit appeals during the spring and fall solicitation cycles.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Until further notice, this is a hybrid position, eligible to work remotely and work on-site in the office.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree required.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

A preferred candidate should have:

  • Working knowledge of Raisers Edge database/ RE NXT (preferred) or comparable database.

  • Working knowledge of Constant Contact (preferred) or comparable communications platform

  • Detail oriented and can work independently on database/ communications projects

  • Prior working experience in fundraising or communications office, a plus.

COMPENSATION

$47.42/hour
