Zurich North America is currently hiring a Distribution/Broker Analyst and this person will work out of our Schaumburg, IL North America HQ in a hybrid schedule. This person will report to a Manager of Analytics and Field Enablement.

Accountabilities:

  • Utilize established financial systems to track budgets and highlight variances to manage and control specific cost variables.

  • Support business case development and monitor and review work undertaken across several small to medium scale projects or a large complex project to ensure appropriate use of materials, tools, equipment or resources and adherence to schedule.

  • Provide advisory services to colleagues daily, by being focal point of contact, to ensure adherence to the company´s risk and compliance processes.

  • Research primary data sources, select relevant information, analyze key themes and trends to provide insights and segmentation and analysis and improvement of sales processes and effectiveness.

  • Research best practice and review and analyze detailed business models to support senior management in developing and improving sales and distribution processes and systems.

  • Assess complex customer/distributor issues and requests, evaluate their unique needs, and apply technical techniques and know-how to recommend a solution.

  • Advise senior management to support change through understanding and insight to have an impact on local business performance.

  • Provide recommendations on activity and resource prioritization for channel development and influence the design and implementation of standards and programs / campaigns to support business improvement / growth.

  • Manage capability development activities in a channel or customer segment, focusing on one or more areas (development of customer or distributor insights; segmentation and value proposition; sales tools and platforms; channel effectiveness.

  • Support colleagues to build targeted growth opportunities, such as development of the distribution network and tenders, working with regional/global colleagues and liaising with other functions where appropriate.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Sales area OR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Sales area OR

  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Sales area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in finance and analytics, math, data science, or other quantitative fields

  • Excellent Excel and Power Point background

  • Experience with data visualization and CRM tools like Power BI and Salesforce preferred

  • R, Python, or SQL background preferred

  • Experience presenting and translating data to insights and tailoring the presentation according to the audience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. The starting salary range for this position is$63,300.00 - $103,700.00.
