Disney+ is the dedicated streaming home for movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic, along with The Simpsons and much more! In select international markets, it also includes the general entertainment content brand, Star. The flagship direct-to-consumer streaming service from The Walt Disney Company, Disney+ offers an ever-growing collection of exclusive originals, including feature-length films, documentaries, live-action and animated series, and short-form content.

The Growth Marketing Design team is looking for an Intern who is passionate about design, design systems and interested in learning and innovating across growth marketing. The Intern will assist with creative campaigns for our shows, movies and offers and will have the opportunity to collaborate with a world-class creative studio of Designers, Art Directors, Producers, and Creative Directors. Our ideal candidate has a passion for design process and innovation, identity systems, and ground-breaking entertainment marketing experiences. If selected for this role, you will report to the Manager, Marketing Design. The approximate dates of this internship are January to June 2025.

What You Will Do

As a Design Intern on the Marketing Design team, you will work side-by-side with the teams that are building performance marketing campaigns for titles such as Inside Out 2 and Deadpool & Wolverine as well as brand and Disney Bundle campaigns. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a world-class creative studio of Designers, Art Directors, Producers, and Creative Directors. Our ideal candidate has a passion for design process and innovation, identity systems, and ground-breaking entertainment marketing experiences. Responsibilities include:

  • Working with a team to develop concepts, reference materials, crafting assets, and conducting design research

  • Assisting in coordinating graphic assets and presentations

  • Working across all media types: digital, video, print, and UX infusing data and insights to develop outstanding experiences that connect to audiences

  • Collaborating with designers and animators in the application and improvement of core graphic templates

  • Working with the design team to update and refresh existing design creative with current messaging

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Passion for design, creative technology tools and digital marketing

  • Ability to be flexible in creative approaches to support various aesthetic styles

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Google Docs, and solid understanding of Figma

  • Knowledge portfolio examples of meticulously execute design work showing strong use of typography, layout, and color

  • An effective communicator who is detailed, meticulous and organized

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in school, organization or activity

  • Hardworking creator of impactful visual design

  • Knowledge and affinity for the Disney brand

  • Examples of creative design work produced (professional or personal). This can be a full portfolio, website or individual samples

Education

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship

  • Major or previous coursework in graphic design, multimedia/visual arts, communications or a closely related field

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

  • The approximate dates of this internship are January through June 2025

  • Able to work Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week

  • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the New York City area

The pay rate for this role in New York City is $22 per hour.
