The Director of Sourcing Cost Execution for Cytiva is responsible for driving Direct Material cost optimization through leading VPI, PPV and VAVE initiatives across the Cytiva business units to enhance Customer operating margins. Additionally, this individual will lead the Direct Sourcing Cost Execution team inclusive of Project Management Office (PMOs), Manufacturing Project Leaders/SMEs and 3rd Party Technical Resources.

This position is part of Direct Sourcing Operations and will be fully remote. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

  • Lead the Direct Sourcing Cost Execution team to support Cytiva Business units in realizing cost improvements while achieving business critical core value drivers.

  • Develop Cost Execution team for direct sourcing operations, including both project management and R&D resources to support, strengthen and accelerate Cost out roadmap across Cytiva

  • Grow and develop the Cost Execution team through utilization of DBS tools rigor leveraging Lean Conversion, VPI and PPV/VAVE processes and drive sourcing PPV/VAVE DM/VM execution across Cytiva business units.

  • Partner with Commercial Sourcing, functional & business leadership teams while leading the cost execution team in defining project scope, goals & resource requirements. Also working across the business to support and help drive resource allocation, capacity planning, project prioritization and project funnel building.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Research and Development, Product Management, Supplier Quality teams to enable resource support, strengthen and accelerate cost out roadmaps.

  • Lead Project Management Team in effectively managing project execution including developing schedules, project scoping/business case, budget planning/cost estimation, CAPEX, supply risk mitigation for large capital projects and factory transfers.

Who you are:

  • Bachelors degree with 10+ years of progressive experience in Sourcing, Engineering and/or Manufacturing Operations.

  • 3+ years of experience in leadership with team of direct reports, including global associates with demonstrated ability to collaborate and work across a heavily matrixed environment.

  • Strategic sourcing expertise including cost optimization, forecasting, budgeting, and fostering strong supplier performance partnerships.

  • Strong presentation skills aligned with seasoned business and financial acumen and agility in influencing, communicating at all organizational levels including key stakeholders.

  • Proven project management and lean/continuous improvement skills.

  • Demonstrated internal/external customer focus and function as an instrumental change agent.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • MS or MBA or an advanced degree preferred.

  • PMP project management certification

  • Experience working across multiple regions on a global basis.

  • Experience analyzing/reviewing financial models and building project business case justifications.

  • Excellent problem solver with a proven ability to generate innovative solutions to complex issues.

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel approximately 10-15% globally

The salary range for this role is $150K - $175K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
