This role will be based in San Francisco, Sunnyvale or New York.

The Director of OSO Central Strategy (GTM Ops) will be supporting go-to-market initiatives that drive revenue for LinkedIn’s mid-sized and long tail advertisers.

This is a unique role in a fast-paced and exciting part of the business focused on driving revenue in our mid-sized and long tail of advertisers. This person will focus on driving prioritization for the Online Sales Organization business in an extremely cross functional environment. This role will partner closely with Sales, Finance, BizOps, Data Science, Marketing, Product and more.

This position offers a candidate with experience in Consulting, Sales Operations, Business Operations, Sales Finance or Strategic Planning an exciting and high-profile opportunity to influence the trajectory of one of the fastest and most strategic segments within LMS, interact with LinkedIn’s most senior sales business leaders, and become an impactful operator within LinkedIn.

This is a people manager role with a team of 7 people (3 direct reports) across a global scope.

Responsibilities:

  • Shape the holistic strategy of our Go To Market approach in partnership with the VP of Online Sales LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, in addition to building collaborative cross functional partnerships to achieve business objectives

  • Drive large and complex workstreams that impact our long tail customer base such as innovating new metrics to identify high potential customers and testing new outreach methods (e.g. in-product engagement, marketing channels) and optimizing strategies across our global sales motions

  • Measure the health of business and impact of strategic initiatives through ownership of Monthly Business Reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews

  • Drive central operational leverage for regional GTM ops team through centralizing and automating high impact processes

  • Play critical role in annual planning across developing strategy materials, driving improvements to our segmentation strategy / processes, building headcount modeling etc.

  • Gain direct exposure to senior leadership, including the opportunity to present insights and recommendations to executives

  • Inspire and develop a team at scale with a global scope

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in management consulting, investment banking, Sales or Business Operations, or other analytical/strategic roles

  • 5+ years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree; MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • Experience working in advertising-led businesses

  • Experience working on global / large scale program rollouts and execution

  • Demonstrated ability to inspire coach and mentor direct reports and other members of a team

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, and comfort partnering and challenging senior Sales executives

  • Project management skills and ability to mobilize cross-functional teams towards common goals

  • Strong communication skills, including written and verbal communication experience with senior management

  • Experience working in high-growth, performance focused environments

  • Deep interest in analyzing data and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making

  • Able to move seamlessly from big picture thinking to operational tactics

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is US $171,000 to US $278,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
