ABOUT THE JOB

The Jewish Board's Adult Residential Services division provide compassionate, high quality, evidence-based services to individuals and families in the communities we serve. Our staff use a culturally competent, person centered approach to help individuals and their families develop skills and resources to improve overall functioning, in instill hope and to strengthen resiliency.

Director will be responsible for the overall coordination, administration, management and leadership of Residential services. In addition, they must provide safe, high quality, programs and adherence to JBFCS policies and procedures. In collaboration with multidisciplinary treatment team members, the Director must ensure the integrity of treatment planning processes and maintenance of highest documentation standards as required by regulations and professional scopes of practice.

Tasks include but not limited to:
  • Has overall clinical and administrative responsibility for the program's staff; including staff supervision, training and development
  • Ensures that any necessary programmatic systems are in place to meet all client safety needs, both on and off grounds
  • Ensures that the site meets appropriate safety and aesthetic standards
  • Makes certain that appropriate direct clinical supervision is provided to all clinical staff members
  • Actively oversees and may participate in the intake, case, group assignment and case closing processes.
  • Ensures appropriate psychiatric, assessment, therapeutic and independent living disciplines are available and administered to the residents.
  • Identifies, establishes and maintains relationships with community representatives and groups in order to establish enhanced linkages for the client population. Is primary liaison/advocate with ACS for all specific program need.
  • Oversees key administrative staff of the program and ensures appropriate completion/compliance of such work
  • Participates in the recruitment process for essential staff and has the ultimate responsibility for candidate selection.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all internal/external regulatory requirements are met.
  • Responsible for the fiscal and human resource management related to the operations of the program.
  • Has responsible for development and adherence to department budget.

TO QUALIFY

The Jewish Board is currently looking for talented professionals of all cultures, religions, races, and gender expressions with the following qualifications:

  • LMSW or a Master's degree in a closely related field will be considered, depending on range of candidate's experience
  • Minimum of seven years of related experience, at least two of which include significant supervisory responsibilities in a residential treatment program
  • Familiarity with contract regulatory requirements
  • A high level of analytic skill in order to make policy and procedural recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong leadership skills.
