Team Profile: Corporate Treasury provides corporate finance advisory service to senior management and internal business units. It also optimizes the Firm's liquidity and capital base, manages the Firm's foreign exchange and interest rate exposure, and coordinates relationships with regulators, rating agencies, and creditors.

The Treasury Forecasting and Planning Team within Corporate Treasury is responsible for managing the Firm's short-term and long-term funding and liquidity forecasting processes. The team also runs analytics on business line resource consumption to aid senior management in the funding planning process.

You will:

  • Develop a holistic view of the Firm's balance sheet and ensure both short-term and long-term funding needs are accounted for

  • Develop analytics on business line resource consumption to aid senior management in the funding planning process

  • Develop analytics related to optimizing the Firm's funding stack and liquidity positioning

  • Provide a vision and direction to the tech development team and stakeholders to deliver software solutions used to manage forecasting & funding / liquidity usage reporting

  • Maintain the team's risks and controls and associated documentation (e.g., policies & procedures)

  • Manage what-if analyses and attribution of results

  • Build effective working relationships with other key stakeholders within Corporate Treasury as well as the front-office business units, Controllers, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Risk

Qualifications - External You have:

  • 5-7 years experience with financial markets or financial institutions

  • Knowledge of Bank balance sheet, funding products, liquidity risk and liquidity management is a plus

  • Strong excel & quantitative skills

  • Well-developed analytical capabilities, including ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity

  • An inquisitive and pro-active mindset with strong critical thinking skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; general ability to express clearly and concisely ideas and concepts in written and oral form

  • The ability to build relationships across the firm; must be comfortable interacting with and presenting to senior management

  • Self-motivation and an eye for detail

  • The ability to mentor junior talent

  • Diversity of thought and background

  • Bachelor's degree in a Finance, Accounting, or Information Technology-related field is a plus

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $135,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
