Viacom Inc Coordinator, Social Strategy - Comedy Central in New York, New York

Overview and Responsibilities


  • Support team with social plans for original digital content

  • Coordinates publishing of social content created by multiple internal teams

  • Maintains a calendar of production/development/publishing dates for all content posted on Comedy Central social channels

  • Extends the voice of the brand by participating in national events, holidays and trend

  • Distributes monthly priorities document at the beginning of each month to various teams who have a stake in social promotions

  • Provides input on content development and programming

  • Maintains social best practices document to internal teams

  • Act as liaison with SRPs and maintain partnerships with platforms and other vendors

Basic Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of work at a media company, agency with a focus on social strategy and planning

  • Experience with social relationship platforms (SRP) such as Sprinklr

Additional Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of social platforms, user behavior and best practices

  • Knowledge of insights tools, including native platform insights, Sysomos, SimplyMeasured, and Nielsen’s SocialGuide
