Description

Non Profit organization is hiring a Director of Finance & Administration to their team. This is the no 1 Accounting/Finance individual for the organization and reports into the Executive Director. They are in the office 5 days/full time and are only seeking locally based candidates on.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, supervise, review and approve day-to-day operations and all accounting and finance functions – including payroll, general ledger, budget, forecasting, revenue collections and accounts payable, manage and forecast cash needs.

• Work with the Board of Directors to manage investment portfolio and make periodic reports to the Board on financial matters.

• Coordinate the annual external audit, including audit schedules and draft financials, A-133, and Form 990.

• Support grant reporting and related audits, negotiations and compliance issues.

• Serve as key liaison with banking and investment companies.

Requirements

• Accounting/Finance degree

• 10+ years Non Profit Accounting experience

• Strong Team Leadership experience – currently in a CFO/Controller/Director of Finance capacity

• New York City Grants/Contracts experience – ideally DOE

• Audit/CFR experience required
