Amazon CG Supervisor, Visual Innovation in New York, New York

Key job responsibilities

Project Leadership: Lead and manage the CG team, ensuring projects are executed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Technical Expertise: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of CG software, rendering, and pipeline workflows to drive technical solutions and innovation, optimizing pipelines for global team collaboration.

Effective Communication: Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills to facilitate clear and efficient communication within the global team.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, and product managers, to deliver outstanding results that align with the project's creative vision.

Problem Solving: Identify and solve complex production challenges, ensuring efficient workflows, creative problem-solving, and the ability to optimize and scale output.

Mentorship: Mentor and develop junior artists, fostering their growth and enhancing the team's overall skill set.

Artistic Direction: Provide artistic direction and feedback to artists to maintain artistic consistency and achieve the desired visual style.

Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control processes to maintain the highest level of visual quality in all deliverables.

A day in the life

As a CG Supervisor for the Amazon Visual Innovation Editorial Team you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the creation of high-quality computer-generated imagery (CGI) for amazon.com retail site and ensuring that our projects meet and exceed artistic and technical standards. You will collaborate closely with our creative directors, producers, artists, and tech teams to bring our clients' visions to life while optimizing pipelines for global scalability.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of front-end technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper experience

  • Have an available online portfolio

  • Experience collaborating with UX, Product, and technical partners

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with machine learning (ML) tools and methods

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $123,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
