Description We are inviting applications for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role in the heart of New York, New York, 10004, United States. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to the financial and operational workings of the organization, primarily focusing on managing the accounting and finance operations. This is a contract employment opportunity, offering a chance to work within the bustling telecom industry.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the end of month close operations.

• Generate comprehensive financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

• Perform budgeting and forecasting duties to ensure financial efficiency.

• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain financial security.

• Manage multiple endowments to enhance capital management.

• Oversee the work of a senior accountant, providing guidance and support as needed.

• Collaborate with external auditors for objective audits and financial control.

• Prepare and present financial data to the board.

• Utilize Blackbaud and other accounting software systems for efficient financial management.

• Optimize internal controls to ensure accurate accounting and financial operations. Requirements • Possession of a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is essential; a master's degree is highly desirable.

• Proven experience in a CFO or similar leadership role within the finance sector.

• Demonstrable expertise in creating and implementing financial strategies in alignment with company goals.

• Extensive knowledge of data analysis, risk management, and forecasting methods.

• Proficiency in using accounting software systems and other financial tools for strategic purposes.

• Exceptional knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management.

• Proven skills in capital management and cash flow analysis.

• Proficient in using "Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT" and other Blackbaud products.

• Solid understanding of financial laws and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.

• Demonstrated ability to manage budget processes effectively.

• Strong leadership skills with a commitment to transparency and collaboration.

• Proven experience in auditing, with an ability to identify efficiency improvements.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
