Our client, a leading Building Automation Systems company, is seeking a skilled CAD Operator to join their growing Fire Alarm Systems Design team. As a CAD Operator, you will play a vital role in supporting the project lifecycle by creating technical drawings and maintaining project documentation.

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with a passion for accuracy and a collaborative spirit. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working alongside a team of specialists to deliver high-quality fire alarm system designs.

Job Title: CAD Operator

Location: New York, NY

Pay Range: $ 20-24/hr (W2 Contract)

What's the Job?

• Develop fire alarm system design drawings, including floor plans, interconnection diagrams, and installation details.

• Assist in preparing panel layouts, riser diagrams, and calculations for assigned projects.

• Under supervision, create fire alarm submittal packages for client approval.

• Generate owner/operation manuals and record drawings using CAD software.

• Maintain project files, drawing libraries, and ensure adherence to company standards.

• Operate and maintain CAD equipment, plotters, and manage plotter supplies.

What's Needed?

• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD preferred).

• Understanding of fire alarm system design principles is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
