eBay, Inc. seeks Business Development 2 in New York, NY Job Duties: Conduct research and analysis on the market, the industry, and potential partners of the business to produce insights and recommendations that can help the Partnerships team identify gaps, opportunities, and threats. Support overall business development strategy, processes, structure, and standard methodologies. Extend our global reach through expert discovery and exploration of new and untapped business opportunities and relationships. Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources. Support new business development, critical initiatives, and partner management for the Payments vertical, performing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses. Work with both internal and external product, operations and marketing teams to drive successful partnership outcomes. Lead the development of proposals and presentations for eBay leadership, in order to achieve agreement on new partnerships and business opportunities. Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and align regularly with management and partners to discuss strategy. Support the communication of strategic insights, updates, summaries and recommendations of the Payments Partnerships team to cross functional partners and senior leadership within the company. Create partnership and deal summaries that clearly lay out the “who”, “what”, “why”, “how”, and “when”, including strategic vision, goals, partner profiles, negotiation status, recommendations, roadmap and tailor to different audiences as needed. Work closely with colleagues (business development, strategic partnerships, and payment operations teammates) and cross functional teams to develop analyses and documentation in a collaborative way. Track, monitor, and manage various projects for the Payments Partnerships team. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in finance, economics, business administration or a related field plus five years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, strategy, strategic partnerships, business development or operations roles. Special Skill Requirements: 1.Experience in ecommerce or marketplaces - 2 years2.Ability to create very high quality documents to communicate with C-level executives - 2 years3.Experience in Financial Services, with a focus on online payments, lending, FinTech or related products - 3 years 4.Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners, serving as the key liaison for key stakeholders and decision-makers - 3 years5.Experience conducting market, user, and competitor research using quantitative methodologies for strategic decision-making - 4 years6.Financial analysis experience, with ability to assess financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision making, along with proficiency in developing complex financial models using Microsoft Excel, including scenario analysis and forecasting - 4 years7.Project management experience, with a proven track record in leading project teams and handling a high volume of engagements while meeting tight deadlines - 4 years8.Experience in strategic planning and business case development, with demonstrated success in formulating actionable plans and obtaining buy-in from senior leadership for key initiatives - 5 yearsSalary range: $119,038.00-$180,000.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
