AVP, Individual Product Risk for MetLife Group, Inc. in New York, NY to perform corporate review in new insurance product development process. Analyze and challenge product design and assumptions, assess profitability metrics and risks, and approve new products developed globally. Manage product post-launch performance monitoring for products with material risks, and review, analyze and report key metrics to senior risk and finance management. Lead cross-functional teams globally in annual global risk review of incentive compensation plans. Submit review results to Chief Risk Officer and MetLife Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors. Analyze and provide guidance on pricing methodology for different investment strategies and new insurance reserve/capital regulations. Analyze products with high risks, applying knowledge of insurance products in Asian markets. Conduct global reinsurance research and strategy and identify opportunities for business growth, capital diversification and risk management. Requires: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or Finance (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus six (6) years of experience performing life and health insurance product development or financial modeling or, alternatively, a Master's degree in Actuarial Science or Finance (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and four (4) years of experience performing life and health insurance product development or financial modeling. Specific skills/other requirements: analyzing, modeling and managing financial products, investment and financial asset, including equity, fixed income and derivatives (2 years); developing life and health insurance products, focusing on Asian markets, and coordinating with teams on product design, pricing, risk management and post-launch performance review (2 years); conducting life and health insurance market research on customer needs, competitor products and insurance regulations (2 years); and leading multi-functional teams on large-scale projects and presenting to senior management (2 years). Fellow or Associate of the Society of Actuaries or Chartered Financial Analyst. Position requires 10% international travel to Asia. Hybrid - 3 days in office/2 days remote.
