The JPMorgan Chase Audit Department is accountable to the Audit and Examining Committee of the Board of Directors, the Office of the Chairman, senior management and global and local regulators. The department has in excess of 1000 staff, located in key locations across the globe. The Audit Department is responsible for assessing the adequacy of the control environment across the firm's lines of businesses through a program of audit coverage that is performed and managed by a team of integrated technology and financial business audit specialists.

The Corporate Functions Audit team provides audit coverage of key corporate functions including Risk, Finance, Compliance (including AML), Legal, Human Resources, Corporate Real Estate, and Global Security & Investigation. The team also works closely with each Line of Business Audit team to ensure consistent coverage of these topics.

We are looking for an experienced Auditor with 2+ years audit experience , or comparable experience demonstrated through coursework, internship or volunteer experience, to join the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) team. This role will be based in Columbus, OH, or New York, NY , and will be responsible for risk assessment, control identification, development of audit testing, completion of audit work and on-going continuous monitoring activities that include maintaining professional and constructive relationships with senior business executives , with the support or oversight of senior managers. The role requires working closely with business and technology audit colleagues across multiple lines of business to ensure comprehensive audit coverage.


  • Perform audit projects from planning to reporting and deliver a quality product in line with department standards

  • Finalize audit findings and use judgment to provide an overall opinion on the control environment

  • Partner with colleagues, regulators, clients and control community members to develop, evaluate, test and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of control environment.

  • Stay up to date with evolving regulatory, industry and market events impacting the firm's risk organization.

  • Partner with other groups within Audit (Investment Bank, Commercial Bank, Consumer Bank, Asset Management, Technology, etc.) to ensure the delivery of a seamless program of audit coverage across JPMorgan Chase

  • Demonstrate integrity, respect, excellence, and innovation in all your actions

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, Economics or related discipline, or relevant financial services experience

  • 2+ years’ experience, or comparable experience through coursework, internship or volunteer experience, in a Financial Services firm or in public accounting, with an appropriate level of exposure to and involvement with AML/ KYC will be considered for an Associate-level position .

  • CAMS, CPA, CIA or similar designation preferred (Firm will support obtaining a professional certification within one year of hire )

  • Knowledge of banking industry preferred

  • Ability to execute audit assignments

  • Ability to manage tasks concurrently in an efficient and effective manner with supervision as needed

  • Perform audit work in accordance with department and professional standards and complete assignments in an efficient manner

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, assuming responsibility for own work and assisting colleagues as needed

  • Intermediate to Advanced desktop skills in products to support the above (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
