HSBC’s Commercial Banking (CMB) business is looking to add an energetic, quantitative-minded, driven individual to join our team of dynamic Relationship Managers, Credit Managers and Product Partners to support our clients. The new Associate Relationship Manager (ARM) will be a crucial member of our team, helping to meet the unique needs of high growth large corporate Commercial Banking customer relationships.

As our Associate Relationship Manager you will:

  • Assist the Relationship Managers in retaining and growing customer relationships, adhering to the Group values, business strategy, operational policies, regulatory requirements and risk management practices

  • Take responsibility for dealing with all aspects of New To Bank onboarding, internal and external relationship reviews, working on ad hoc projects including (but not limited to): sales pitches, product coordination, prospect research and calling, sector analysis, client portfolio reporting and others as required

  • Be an integral part of the Corporate Banking team enabling the team to deliver holistic banking services, improve client engagement, maximize operational efficiency and allow for the optimum amount of client engagement

  • Prepare concise call reports, research and analyze client, industry and competitor financial and macro-economic data and be an active participant in client due-diligence calls

  • Represent the bank at client meetings, introduce product partners, coordinate the application process, and work closely with internal stakeholders on credit or product onboarding process, systems updating KYC and documentation

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $110,700.00 and $166,000.00.

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Qualifications

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Experience ideally in a Commercial Banking environment or a client focused environment with a demonstrated understanding of commercial lending and credit risk assessment. A minimum of two years of underwriting / credit experience is optimal

  • Experience of working within a global environment and with international clients

  • Experience with comprehensive company and market research along with tools and systems used in this analysis (i.e. CapIQ, D&B, LinkedIn)

  • Broad knowledge of Corporate Banking and Markets structures, products and services

  • Knowledge of CRM systems, transaction structuring/profitability analysis

  • Proven leadership skills including coaching, motivation and the ability to project/engender ownership of corporate goals in others

  • Strong communications skills to inspire others

  • Strong ‘team’ skills promoting an environment of co-operation and trust, overcoming resistance where encountered

  • Strong analytical and financial skills

  • Good prioritizing, organizational and time management abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or similar
