The Trustees of Columbia University in the City of New York Associate Professor of Clinical Biostatistics in New York, New York

Mental Health Data Science provides statistical collaboration, data analytic methodological development, and data management for psychiatric and mental health research conducted within the Columbia University Department of Psychiatry, Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene (RFMH), and New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI). We participate in extensive statistical collaborations with over 50 psychiatry researchers in any given year, providing statistical expertise and analysis to projects.

The Division of Mental Health Data Science seeks a full-time Associate Professor to provide biostatistical support for collaboration with investigators at CUIMC, Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene and New York State Psychiatric Institute. The desired candidate has the clinical leadership and research mentorship experience.

Duties:

S/he will conduct research and seek grant funding in biostatistical methods. S/he will provide services in teaching, raining, and mentoring functions; and provide services in administrative committees. S/he will lead the design, analysis, and reporting of results from various clinical, epidemiological, and services psychiatric research studies.


Qualifications:

> PhD in biostatistics, statistics, or a related discipline

> Candidate must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and publication record

Preferred qualifications:

> An outstanding record of independent and collaborative research

> Record of mentorship experience

> Interest in developing and applying statistical methods to important problems in psychiatric research.

> Prior experience equivalent to the level of Associate Professor of Biostatistics, e.g. at least 8 years working in a health research environment including collaborating on NIHand related research grants
