Summary

The Associate, Corporate Development position supports Warner Bros. Discovery in the evaluation and execution of M&A and corporate transactions. The team collaborates with partners across all Warner Bros. Discovery divisions – including US Networks, Sports, Theatrical, Television, Home Entertainment, Consumer Products, and Streaming – to develop strategic analyses and recommendations for WBD senior management on high profile projects and in a fast-paced environment.

Specific responsibilities include: (1) providing financial and strategic support in executing mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, partnerships, investments and joint ventures; (2) evaluating new business development initiatives; and (3) monitoring existing investments and joint ventures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide financial and strategic support in the analysis and execution of mergers & acquisitions, including preparing financial models and valuation analyses, developing strategic rationale, conducting due diligence and reviewing agreements.

  • Closely monitor industry trends and competitive dynamics and prepare presentations summarizing industry segments and individual companies to inform analysis and evaluation of M&A opportunities.

  • Prepare financial models for new business development initiatives (e.g. partnerships, joint ventures, equity investments) and monitor existing joint ventures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two to four years of work experience in investment banking or related industry (media & entertainment, digital, tech) company.

  • Experience preparing complex financial models and valuation analyses for mergers & acquisitions or similar strategic initiatives.

  • Experience analyzing detailed company financial statements.

  • BA / BS from top university

  • Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong research and analytical skills required.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet various deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Knowledge of media landscape and trends required.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $63,000.00 - $117,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
