The Trustees of Columbia University in the City of New York Assistant/Associate Professor in New York, New York

The Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center in partnership with the Vagelos College of Physicians and the Department of Systems Biology/Program for Mathematical Genomics invites applications for an endowed Irving Professorship focused on computational cancer biology including areas of cancer genomics or epigenomics, tumor immunology, computational structural biology, artificial intelligence/machine learning applied to cancer research among other related topics. We are seeking the recruitment of mid-career (senior tenured Associate Professors) or more established investigators (tenured Professors).

The Irving Professorship program seeks individuals with exceptional accomplishments and abilities in broad areas of cancer research. The successful candidates will be nominated for membership within the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center within one of 4 Research Programs and will have access to superb Shared Resources at discounted rates. The candidate should be committed to education, mentorship and collaboration.


Applicants should have a Ph.D., MD, MD/Ph.D., or equivalent degree.

We seek faculty members with a strong commitment to research, mentoring, and teaching, fostering a climate that embraces both excellence and diversity. Qualified PhD and/or MD investigators should have demonstrated scientific productivity with an established NIH and non-NIH funding portfolio, and evidence of recognition in their respective fields.
