Salary Range:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I: $62,471 - $73,956 (TA)

Assistant Transit Management Analyst II: $72,534 - $80,784 (TA)

Associate Transit Management Analyst: $81,994 - $106,164 (TA)

Responsibilities:

The selected incumbent will assist the Operations Development Advanced Service Initiatives Unit, who is responsible for Service Delivery's support of Capital, IT and in-house projects affecting the Rail Control Center, outside of the CBTC program which include but are not limited to: ATS-A, ATS-L, ATS-7, Fan Plant SCADA, and COVID Exposure Investigation. The analyst will support the General Superintendent pertaining to daily requests such as Scheduling RCC tour visits, building space allocation, trip Editor, as well as assist with on-going projects.

Education and Experience:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I-II:

  • A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one year of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and two years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above.

    Associate Transit Management Analyst:

  • A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of this experience must have been in the mass transportation industry; or

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One year of this experience must have been in the mass transportation industry.

    Desired Skills:

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Proficiency in the use Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Tableau, Power BI applications.

  • Strong writing, research, and interpretation skills.

  • Ability to function independently with limited work direction.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.

    Selection Method:

    Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

    All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
