Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Applications Engineer to join a large financial team local to New York City. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assessing, selecting, implementing, integrating, maintaining, and optimizing the software applications that support our financial operations. The Applications Engineer will be responsible for monitoring the suite of applications, understand and track updates or changes made by cloud vendors to platforms we use, in addition to tracking application versions and end of life software. They will be work with internal teams and well as third parties to understand needs and deliver on those needs effectively. They should have experience utilizing python and powershell scripting experience. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Skills and Requirements

- 5+ years of experience designing, administering and supporting the life cycle of enterprise level applications and deployments including installation, configuration and maintenance

- Experience scripting with Powershell and Python for automation and scripting tasks

- Experience monitoring the performance and health of system applications, ability to identify and resolve issues proactively

- Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements, understand business needs and deliver effective solutions to these needs

- Manage and monitor application usage, licensing and renewal dates

- Familiar supporting Office365 and the suite of Power Apps

- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and SQL querying.

- Strong communication skills, ability to work with internal and 3rd party vendors null
