Position Summary

The Global Client Finance (GCF) department at Mediabrands is tasked with the financial and commercial management of the global clients which include Johnson & Johnson, Spotify, ExxonMobil, BMW, Unilever, Sony, American Express, and others. The primary goal of this department is to drive increased global client revenue and profitability across the Mediabrands companies. Mediabrands is a global network and the GCF team frequently interacts with the global markets.

GCF provides global financial leadership, leads the compensation negotiations, and introduces innovative compensation models where possible. GCF also plays a critical role in new business pitches with respect to compensation and commercial responses. The GCF group is also responsible for regular reporting of client profitability and will periodically support the Global CFO on various operational initiatives.

The Global Client Finance Analyst will support the GCF team in the overall management of global clients.

Responsibilities
  • Support GCF Manager with management of a select group of global clients including review of financial performance against targets, market issues/opps, and attend regular business review meetings for each client. Highlight potential opportunities and risks
  • Assist with preparation of profitability analysis and internal reporting, contract development and maintenance, client reporting, and compensation negotiation
  • Support Client Business Leads with ad-hoc financial information and reports
  • Support commercial portion of new business pitches including; RFP responses, pitch budget management, compensation modelling, and contract development
  • Collect and analyze financial information from international markets to review with managers and determine proper courses of action and/or follow ups
  • Review and address specific market variances to forecast and target
  • Source data as needed from various financial systems and create ad hoc analyses
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong analytical skills with a very strong level of attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and especially Excel
  • Accurate, curious, and efficient in work with excellent communications skills (spoken and written)
  • Excellent time management skills with an adaptable/flexible attitude
  • An even-keeled demeanor that conveys professionalism
  • Collaborative, team orientated with a personable and client appropriate approach
  • IPG Mediabrands does not require candidates to have a college degree
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or similar preferred
  • One year of experience preferred
  • Experience with Hyperion is an asset but, not necessary
  • Experience in media planning and/or buying an asset but, not necessary
  • Foreign language an asset but, not necessary

The salary range for this position is posted below. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee's/applicant's skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.

Salary Range
$62,500-$65,000 USD
