Job Description
Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Join our team as anAdministrative AssistantinHOPP, Office of Scientific Research Management. We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to partner with our HOPP Faculty members and laboratories to provide administrative support to facilitate the effective functioning of research and academic efforts. Role Overview:
Provide administrative and operational support to HOPP faculty and the research teams.
Assist faculty with administrative functions of laboratory management and research activities.
Manage complex calendars and scheduling of meetings on the manager’s behalf.
Coordinate international and domestic travel and build agendas and itineraries with detailed organization.
Assist in acquisition and inventory management for supplies and lab equipment, and administrative functions to include payroll, letters of recommendation, CV updates, and travel/reimbursement logs.
Assist with planning and execution of departmental and lab initiatives, ensuring a smooth communication flow between investigators, lab members, institutional contacts, and external contacts.
Troubleshoot process/paperwork problems and proactively follow up on problem resolution.
Establish a detailed course of action for duties and demonstrate thoroughness and accuracy using extensive discretion and judgment.
Provide cross-coverage for administrative team members in their absence.
Key Qualifications:
Experience in an administrative role, preferably in healthcare, research, or laboratory setting.
Able to work independently and within a team, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) required.
Core Skills:
An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and driving communications based on that understanding.
Flexible in your approach and demeanor to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances.
Adept at crafting partnerships and working collaboratively to meet shared objectives and goals.
A good decision-maker with proven success at making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm (hybrid schedule) #LI-Hybrid
Location: 417 E. 68th Street
Pay Range: $25.65-$38.42
